The Meaning

 

This section represents the opposite end of my writing spectrum as an undergraduate. The two pieces attached to this page contain examples of writing where I may have strayed a little too far into the abstract in an effort to connect the science I am writing about with deeper implications for what it means to be human. These deviations felt necessary and effective when I originally wrote them, but ultimately the flowery language or philosophical delvings may have served only to distract readers from the main point I was trying to get across related to science.

 

As before, these two pieces were selected so as to show my development as a write; the first paper is from a lower-level course, the latter from a more advanced one.
